Launches New Ethanol Ad
Positive campaign highlights benefits for workers and farmers
Continuing his positive issues-based campaign, Congressman Mike Rogers today unveiled a new advertisement highlighting his House-passed legislation to benefit
Michigan
’s workers and farmers.
Rogers
talks about his work on improving access to E85 and the impact the alternative fuel can have on
Michigan
’s economy and jobs. Here’s the full script:
“
Michigan
farmers grow the corn to make the ethanol. MSU finds ways to make it cheaper and better for the environment. Small stations install E85 pumps so we depend less on foreign oil ... and
Michigan
workers make the cars that run on ethanol.
“Me, I’m Mike Rogers and I approve this ad ’ cause I’ve worked in Congress to get the funding to do the research and buy the ethanol pumps so we have a reason to grow more corn and make the cars that keep jobs right here in Michigan.”
The 30-second ad kicks off in
Detroit
and
Lansing
media markets during the MSU-UM football game this afternoon. It also can be viewed at www.rogersforcongress.com
