' Ad: American Jobs Worth Fighting For
Congressman Highlights Work to Stop Counterfeit Auto Parts
U.S. Congressman Mike Rogers launched the newest in his series of positive campaign advertisements today, talking about his work to prevent counterfeiting of auto parts and other products.
Rogers
has worked aggressively to prevent foreign companies, many of them in China, from stealing the jobs of U.S. workers through unfair trade practices, such as product counterfeiting. Rogers also works to make sure countries like China are held accountable for currency manipulation, which gives them an unfair advantage in world markets, and other unfair trade practices.
"Foreign countries have been stealing our products and stealing our jobs," Rogers said in the latest positive ad focused on his work for the 8th District. "America has been losing $12 billion a year just in automotive parts counterfeiting. And 75 percent of those counterfeit parts are made in China. That's why I wrote and passed a bill last year to go after foreign companies that are cheating -- to send a message to China and other countries who don't play fair. American jobs are worth fighting for."
